Labhair Iarla Ó Lionáird agus Steve Cooney le Miriam O' Callaghan on RTÉ Radio One about their musical collaboration over the years.
Speaking about their musical backgrounds, Iarla explained about being a 'particle' of the musical legacy of Cúil Aodha in the Cork Gaeltacht.
Steve, originally from Melbourne, Australia but with Irish roots spoke about how he found himself in Ireland. He was with spending time with an Aboriginal tribe in the Northern Territory of Australia when they said to him, 'How do you expect to understand our culture when you don't even understand your own'. Steve made his way to Ireland in 1980 and has been here ever since.
Tá Iarla agus Steve anois ag obair le chéile ar albam le chéile agus deir Iarla go bhfuil oiread curtha ag Steve le cultúr cheol na hÉireann. Deir Iarla nach bhfuil éinne cosúil le Steve le bheith ar an stáitse leo, ní hamháin ó thaobh an cheoil dó ach go gcuireann Steve a chroí leis an gceol
