Don't let the name fool you. Like tour pals Two Door Cinema Club, Los Angeles' Funeral Party are disciples of the good times soundtrack, and their firebrand frontman, hi-hat working overtime and parity of esteem for guitar and bass should inspire just as many to throw shapes.

Despite doing themselves no favours with the lyric "It's all been done before and it'll all be done again" on opener 'New York City Moves to the Sound of LA', their energy and choruses to go with the cheekbones get them through the moments when they play 'Name That Tune'.

Goodwill builds with each listen, as do hopes that they'll take some more chances and work the diverse sounds of their hometown into future songs.
