Virgin - 2003 - 150 minutes
Reasons to be cheerful? Try 40 of them as once again you get the lesson that history - and class - repeats itself. Four years in and there seems to be no end to the 'Sampled' goldmine, which this time uncovers where Beck, Public Enemy, Royksopp, DJ Shadow and Prince went before offering up 'Derelict, 'Fight the Power', 'So Easy', 'Midnight in a Perfect World' and 'Get Off' to the charts and decks.
Worth the price alone, although not exactly a sample, is John Kongos 'Step On' which the Happy Mondays made their own 19 years later and apparently the intro drum loop to St Germain's 'Rouse Rouge' could also be hiding out on a track too. Time to start digging…
