David Attenborough has become the fastest person to reach a million followers on Instagram, beating the record previously held by Jennifer Aniston.
The 94-year-old naturalist made his first post on Thursday morning, and a little over four hours later had a million followers. It took Friends favourite Aniston over five hours to reach a million followers when she first posted in October 2019. Attenborough now has over 3m followers.

In his first post, Attenborough said he was joining Instagram because "the world is in trouble".
"Continents are on fire. Glaciers are melting. Coral reefs are dying... The list goes on and on," he continued.
Attenborough described saving the planet as "a communications challenge".
A Life on Our Planet is released on Netflix on Sunday, October 4.
