Guy Andrews has just released his new album, Permanence, with "ambient counterpart" [MT][NT][ET] out on November 11. We ask him the BIG questions...

Tell us three things about yourself?
I'm based in London but grew up in the south coast of the UK. I spend a lot of my time exploring how technology can enable creativity. My musical abilities stem more so from being a 13-year-old attaching an FM transmitter to a car wash roof to start a pirate radio station than it does from any form of classical music training.

How would you describe your music?
Textural electronics.

Who are your musical inspirations?
Smashing Pumpkins and Tool… but my music sounds absolutely nothing like either.

How did you occupy yourself during the coronavirus lockdown?
I reached out to those around me and invited them to chat about whatever was on their mind. I felt that having very open channels of communication was important amidst the uncertainty.

What's your favourite song right now?
JDFR - Instant Patience

Favourite lyric of all time?
"'Cause I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way
I wanna watch it all go down
Mom, please flush it all away
I wanna see it go right down
I wanna watch it go right in
Watch you flush it all away"

- Tool - Ænema

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be?
Jóhann Jóhannsson - Flight from the City

Where can people find your music/more information?
My website has it all:
