Daisy Edgar-Jones has revealed her boyfriend's reaction to Normal People sex scenes - and he seems to have taken it quite well.
The TV adaptation of Sally Rooney's second novel has courted some controversy in Ireland, due to the bed-hopping antics of the story's main characters, Marianne and Connell, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal.
But while Mescal is currently single, Edgar-Jones does have a steady boyfriend, former Game of Thrones actor, Tom Varey. And they've watched Normal People together.
Speaking on the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast, Daisy admitted that he did cringe a little while watching the show. But she's full of praise for him.
"My boyfriend actually, he was amazing because what a tricky thing to watch," she revealed. "He loves the series, thank goodness. That's something I’m very relieved about.
"But, there was a moment in episode six where he was like: 'This is a bit weird. Oh this is weird!'"
