Love Island viewers have questioned if Mike Boateng's flirtatious conversations with Jess Gale are genuine, while his "sexy side dish" comment managed to set Twitter alight.
In Thursday's episode, the 24-year-old former policeman found himself trending on social media after he told the twin that he would have picked her if his love rival Luke Mabbott hadn't chosen her first, and then confidently declared that he'll be her "sexy side dish".
After the shock recoupling, which saw Mike opt to send Leanne Amaning home, he tells Jess: "Had it been me that was able to pick first I would have picked you."
He then told the 20-year-old student that he "definitely see us going somewhere".
Jess questioned if his motives were genuine and insinuated that he could be playing a game.
"I know that if this hadn't happened with Leanne, you wouldn’t be saying it," she said.
Mike replies: "Everything happens for a reason. This might have been the kick up the bum to get to where I’m supposed to be."
Jess admits: "I’m not sure whether you’re being genuine… your head’s all over the place."
Later Luke M tells Jess that he doesn’t think she can trust Mike "as far as you can throw him".
Last night, viewers saw Mike frantically trying to find someone to couple up with and making a move on Connor Durman's ex Sophie Piper to no avail.
