Coronation Street star Antony Cotton and presenter Donna Air are the latest celebrities to leave ITV's Dancing on Ice after Sunday's double elimination - the first in the show's history.

Cotton, Air and rugby player Max Evans were placed in a triple skate-off after the judges' scores and viewers' votes were combined.

All four judges - Ashley Banjo, Jason Gardiner, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean - voted to save Evans and partner Ale Izquierdo.

After his elimination, Cotton said he "had an absolute blast" on the show.

"I can go forward and backwards so I'm thrilled," he continued.

Cotton added that he and professional skating partner Brandee Malto are now "friends for life".

Air also paid tribute to her skating partner, Mark Hanretty, saying:  "I've fallen in love with skating and I never expected to get this far in the competition."

Dancing on Ice continues on TV3 and ITV on Sunday at 6:00pm.
