Having wowed the masses on the Tarzan soundtrack in the summer, Hozier's music has now been chosen for the trailer for one of the most eagerly-awaited films of 2017: Ben Affleck's Irish mobster thriller Live by Night

Hozier's track Arsonist's Lullaby is used to excellent effect in the trailer, which has just been released.

Directed by and starring Affleck, and based on the book of the same name by Dennis Lehane (Shutter Island, Mystic River), Live by Night follows the rise during the Prohibition era of Irish-American Joe Coughlin.

Coughlin, the black sheep son of a Boston Police superintendent (Brendan Gleeson), leaves the underworld of his hometown to set up his own empire in Tampa, Florida. The cast also includes Zoe Saldana, Sienna Miller, Elle Fanning and Chris Cooper.  

Affleck made his directorial debut in 2007 with his acclaimed adaptation of Lehane's book Gone Baby Gone. His last film as a director, 2012's Argo, won the Oscar for Best Picture.

Live by Night is released in cinemas on January 13.
