Homer Simpson made animated history when he answered questions from fans live on Sunday night and thankfully the Springfield resident said he won't be leaving the show any time soon.
At the end of last night's 595th episode entitled Simprovised, Homer answered fan phone calls live on air from the 'Fox Studios Secret bunker' which was just a badly made set built in the Simpson family's living room.
Q&As during the live segment ranged from the kind of car he drives (an old and terrible hybrid) to whether he prefers Chicago deep-dish style pizza or New York thin crust (Chicago deep-dish)
"This is the last episode of The Simpsons," Homer said. "Just kidding, The Simpsons will never end."
While the calls came in, characters came in and out, including Bender from Futurama with a sign that read "Bring back Futurama again."

The animation magic came courtesy of motion capture technology, which tracked the head and arm movements of actor Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer, and immediately animated them for broadcast across the United States and several international markets.
A 7-second delay prevented pranksters from asking inappropriate questions live on air.
Since its 1989 premiere on Twenty-First Century Fox Inc’s Fox Broadcasting, The Simpsons has become the longest-running sitcom and prime-time scripted series in U.S. history.
