Pamela Anderson, the star of nineties TV series Baywatch, has said she is unhappy with plans for the big-screen reboot of the show, which will star Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
The big-screen adaptation of the classic TV show is set to star Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, but producers haven’t asked original star Anderson to reprise her role as lifeguard CJ Parker.
“No one appreciates the remakes,” Anderson is quoted as saying on entertainment website, TMZ. She added that making the show was the greatest time of her life and that the 1990s was a “simpler, sweeter time”.
Producers haven’t asked Anderson to resume her role of CJ Parker in the upcoming movie. The film is said to be R-rated, adult take and will be modelled on 21 Jump Street model.
Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief director Seth Gordon is set to direct and the plot will follow a strait-laced lifeguard, played by Johnson, who is forced to work with a newcomer, played by Efron, as an evil oil tycoon plans to destroy the beach they both work on.
