Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud has remained in the UK Top 40 for a record breaking 52 weeks since its release in June 2014.
One year later and the public still hasn't tired of the song and it is still riding high in the charts at Number 28.
The hit has already become a firm favourite as the song of choice for a 'first dance' at weddings, no doubt thanks to its romantic lyrics and Ed's nifty dance moves in the video, which has clocked up an astonishing half a billion views plus online.
Other songs have witnessed longer stays in the chart with non-consecutive runs.
Frank Sinatra's My Way holds the record featuring at intervals in the Top 40 for 75 weeks between April 1969 and September 1971.
More recently, Pharrell Williams' single Happy almost reached the year target, with 49 consecutive weeks in the chart.
