Natalie Portman has lined up two new movie roles – one as a government researcher of unusual phenomenon and the other as a female justice.
The first role is in the adaptation of Jeff VanderMeer's sci-fi novel Annihilation which will see Portman working with Ex Machina director Alex Garland and producer Scott Rudin.
Variety reports Portman is in talks for a role in the film about four women sent by the US government to investigate a place called Area X where weird goings-on and phenomena occur.
Meanwhile, according to Deadline, Portman has also been cast as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg - only the second female appointed to that position in the US - in the biopic On the Basis of Sex.
