Rapper-turned-designer Kanye West considers fashion part of his "spirit" and is feeling "positive" about his future in the industry.
The 37-year-old FourFiveSeconds hitmaker, who debuted his new line of Yeezy Boost trainers for Adidas Originals at New York Fashion Week in February, revealed he "really appreciated" the positive feedback he received from fellow designer's following the show.
Speaking to Paper magazine, he said: ''I feel very positive about the future. People are starting to recognise and just give me a chance to be looked at, respected and a part of the conversation.
"I really appreciate that my collection at New York Fashion Week was accepted positively. The moment I saw [Lanvin designer] Alber Elbaz he patted me on the back and said, 'Keep going'. It's important to believe and it's equally important to pay your dues."
He added: "Fashion is something that's in my heart to do - in my spirit. There's no world that can stop me from what I love. Not the rap world, not the fashion world, not the real world."
