Former EastEnders star Rob Kazinsky, who played Sean Slater in the soap, has landed the lead role in Fox's Frankenstein pilot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Krasinsky will play Ray Pritchard, a retired and morally corrupt cop who is given a change to redeem himself when he is resurrected.
The reanimated character, who is athletic, strong and handsome but with the mind of a 75-year-old, now has to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose.
The drama has already cast Adhir Kalyan (Rules of Engagement) as internet billionaire Otto Goodwin, who is responsible for bringing Ray back from the dead.
Kazinsky is best known for playing Sean Slater on EastEnders, as well as Warlow in True Blood. He also appeared in the movie Pacific Rim.
Frankenstein has been written by Rand Ravich and will be executive produced by Ravich and Howard Gordon.
