Dublin ska act Supertonic Sound Club have pulled off something of a coup by teaming up with Dave Barker, the Jamaican reggae star who scored a No 1 hit in the UK and became the first singer ever to hit the US Top 30 with a reggae single.
As vocalist with reggae duo Dave and Ansel Collins, Barker scored a No 1 hit in the UK in 1971 with Double Barrel, which also went on to to be a hit on the US Billboard Charts.
Supertonic Sound Club release their single with Barker this Monday, September 15.It's called Scheherazade and it's available as a a download and a 7" inch vinyl.
