The Ice Dragon, a children's book penned by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, with artwork by award-winning Spanish artist Luis Royo, will be re-published in October.

The story first saw the light of day as part of an anthology in 1980 and in 2007 it was published in its own right. Given the outstanding success of Games of Thrones, huge sales are bound to follow its re-launch.

The action takes place in a small village in which winter is apparently never-ending. A young girl named Adara befriends a mysterious ice dragon that appears when the weather is extremely cold.

Adara is the only person in the village who can make the connection with the dragon. Ultimately, her task is to save the village. The Ice Dragon will be published on October 21.
