Fresh from their riotous World Cup tour of Brazil, Argentina and Chile, The Jesus and Mary Chain have announced a "Secret Irish Show" in Dublin's Vicar Street on July 31.

The legendary Scottish band lead by brothers Jim and William are currently in Dublin rehearsing their upcoming Psychocandy UK dates dates and break cover to play the "low key" Vicar Street date, their first Irish show since an appearance at Electric Picnic in 2007.

The band are lining up a year of activity surrounding the 30th anniversary of their key release Psychocandy - Larry Gogan's favourite album of 1985 - and have announced further dates in Poland, France, Scotland and England.

Tickets priced €30.00 (inc. booking fee) for the Vicar Street show are on sale NOW through and usual outlets nationwide.
