TV chef Clarissa Dickson Wright, best-known as one half of culinary duo Two Fat Ladies, has passed away aged 66.

Her agent confirmed that she died at Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary on Saturday (March 15). "Loved dearly by her friends and many fans all over the world, Clarissa was utterly non-PC and fought for what she believed in, always, with no thought to her own personal cost." they said in a statement today.

"Her fun and laughter, extraordinary learning and intelligence, will be missed always, by so many of us."

Dickson Wright, who initially worked as a barrister, shot to fame with Jennifer Paterson, who died of cancer in 1999 at the age of 71. The pair travelled around in a motorbike and sidecar for their BBC series.
