The White Stripes' Elephant has topped a Mojo magazine readers' poll to find the best album of the past 20 years.

The poll, which marks the 20th anniversary of the magazine, saw Arcade Fire's Funeral in second place with Bob Dylan's Time out of Mind in third. Completing the top five are Radiohead's OK Computer and The Strokes Is This It.

Phil Alexander, Editor-in-Chief of Mojo, said: "A decade on from its release, Elephant has lost none of its charm or power. Building on the band's three previous LPs, it delivered accessible and complex material in equal measure.

"The album helped spawn a raft of two-piece imitators, yet continues to stand alone."
