U2 caused a bit of a stir in Bray on Tuesday when they battled the wind and rain to shoot images.

According to the Irish Independent a crowd of onlookers gathered, surprised by the views that met their evening stroll!

The filming sparked rumours that the band are shooting a cover image for their new album which will be released in April.

Earlier that evening Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr were spotted emerging from the Bray Head Hotel and Bono took time to talk to fans and have pictures taken.

The Examiner reports that the band later shot scenes in Jim Doyle's pub, before walking along Bray's seafront and being filmed singing Desire.

The group recently released Ordinary Love, which will be featured in the new Nelson Mandela biopic, Mandela: The Long Walk to Freedom.
