Blue Zoo, a new, marine wildlife adventure documentary series, is to begin filming in Australia this October, and RTÉ is looking for four Irish teenagers to star in the show.
The chosen four, along with four Australian teenagers, will "work and train together in New South Wales Blue Zoo with dolphins, seals and turtles who have been rescued and rehabilitated or born into human care at the park".
The makers of the show say: "Blue Zoo is looking for 14- to 15-year-olds who are motivated to make the world a better place, who love to be challenged, want to be part of a team and have a genuine interest in conservation.
"Rookies need to be available to travel to Australia for seven weeks of filming. Do you have what it takes to be one of our eight marine rookies?"
Applicants must be aged 14-15 and need to explain why this is their dream in 100 words or less – they can also upload a short video of themselves. For more details for parents and guardians and to apply, visit: www.bluezootv.com.au.
The closing date for applications is September 6.
