It's the biggest, most digital Glastonbury ever in terms of coverage from the BBC, and there's Irish Open Golf, Racing from the Curragh and The Saturday Game (Monaghan v Cavan). All that and Heat (Pacino/De Niro) on RTÉ Two.

Begins at 4.00pm, BBC Two

The BBC Two broadcast features performances from Elvis Costello, Primal Scream, Haim, The Strypes, plus Glastonbury festival first timers The Rolling Stones (revving up a whole selection of songs off recent albums, not.) From 7.00pm until midnight, BBC Three will show performances from Ben Howard, Laura Mvula, Two Door Cinema Club (pictured below) and Example. BBC Four (10.55pm-12.00am) features performances from the festival's West Holts Stage. Thus, the BBC’s broadest Glastonbury coverage to date, with more than 120 live performances and 250 hours of broadcasting across TV, radio, red button and online.

Then at 4.30pm on RTÉ Two, the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby airs live from the Curragh Racecourse. Presented by Robert Hall with Ted Walsh, Tracy Piggott and Brian Gleeson, commentator, Tony O’Hehir. There’s also the Saturday Game Live (6.50pm, RTÉ Two) in which Michael Lyster presents live coverage from the Ulster Senior Football Championship clash of Monaghan v Cavan from Clones. A group of professional bank robbers start to feel the heat from police when they unknowingly leave a clue at their latest heist. Al Pacino is masterful as the cop who develops an intense relationship with the criminal, played with equal conviction by Robert De Niro. Both actors are at the top of their game, in the Michael Mann-directed slow-burner classic from 1995. (Interestingly, the movie had a previous TV outing as LA Takedown.) The movie also stars Val Kilmer and Jon Voight.
