Ed Sheeran has said that his friends One Direction have finished work on their new album.
The boy band are believed to be finished working on the follow-up to their second record, 2012’s Take Me Home.
Sheeran made the statement as he discussed his own new record, admitting he has been too busy to write for anyone else while he concentrates on his own music.
Speaking to MTV, the 22-year-old star said: ''I haven't done any songs on this one; I've actually kind of cut myself from giving any people songs at the moment, because I want to make my album.
''I was approached, and it wasn't so much a 'No,' it was just a 'I want to write tunes for myself at the moment.'
''Once my album's done, then we'll see. But their album [One Direction's] is already finished.''
