Director Michael Bay appears to have forgiven Shia Labeouf for slamming his Transformers films, insisting he would like to work with his former leading man in the future.
The 48-year-old filmmaker and the 26-year-old Even Stevens star fell out after LaBeouf attacked the first Transformers sequel at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
However, Bay has revealed that his decision not to feature Shia in the fourth Transformers outing had nothing to do with the things he has said about the franchise in the past.
Speaking to TheDailyBeast.com, Labeouf said: "He's (LaBeouf) trashed every movie he's ever been in, so... There's a specific reason why there's a new cast; it's just a way to freshen up the franchise.
"Shia and I are definitely going to work (together) again."
