A sequel to the hit 2004 comedy, Dodgeball, is in the works.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films has commissioned Clay Tarver to write a script to the movie which starred Vince Vaughn as the owner of a very run-down gym competing with a group of misfits in a dodgeball tournament against a rival gym owner played by Stiller.
Tarver has worked on a number of comedy projects including Men Making Music and the upcoming Quantum Hoops.
The sequel will reportedly focus on how Vaughn and Stiller’s characters are forced to team up against a bigger threat. The original movie was a huge hit when released in 2004 after being made on a reported budget of $20million.
