Coronation Street star Natalie Gumede, who plays Kirsty Soames on the popular soap, has revealed that her character gives fans "nightmares".
The 29-year-old actress, who recently filmed her exit scenes, was involved in a domestic abuse storyline that saw her character abusing her ex-fiancé Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
Speaking to The Mirror newspaper, Gumede revealed that fans have had nightmares over her character, saying: "I've officially become the stuff of nightmares.
"A lot of people have told me they've had dreams where Kirsty was threatening them in some terrible way.
"I suppose I should be flattered as an actor, but I can't say I've taken it as much of a compliment!"
Natalie also stated that she agrees with viewers who believe that her character should be punished for her treatment of Tyrone over the past year.
She further pitched in: "The audience wants justice for Tyrone, and I fully agree. Soap justice demands that the baddie gets their comeuppance eventually.
"Ty has been the victim for too long and Kirsty is way past the point of redemption."
Gumede recently said that she would be open to returning to Coronation Street at a future date.
