Mark Wahlberg has talked about his plans to return to music, although he added: "I think the days of running around in my underwear are gone."

Speaking to 2fm's Rick O'Shea, the Broken City star said that a return to music, if not Marky Mark could be on the cards: "Yeah, don’t tell anyone, but The Funky Bunch may get back together."

"I would love to do something different, so I’m definitely not ruling it out. Although I think the days of running around in my underwear are gone."

The singer turned actor/producer also spoke about his four children with wife Rhea Durham - Ella Rae (9), Michael Robert (6), Brendan Joseph (4) and Grace Margaret (3).

He said: "They’re the most important thing in the world to me. But they have very little idea what I actually do.

"In fact when people come up to me looking for autographs,
they get really confused."

Wahlberg has also outlined his predictions for the Oscars ahead of the Academy Awards this Sunday February 24 and he's tipping Daniel Day-Lewis for success.

Speaking to The Huffington Post, he said: "I think there's a 110% chance Daniel Day-Lewis will win. I think Argo will definitely win Best Picture".

"I think Ben Affleck not being nominated for Best Director has now turned into a blessing because everyone's outraged by the fact he wasn't nominated, so now he's going to win everything, and I think it's a great movie too."

He added: "Personally, I love Life of Pi".

“Maybe it was because I spent four months working opposite an imaginary teddy bear, and Suraj Sharma had to do the same thing with this tiger, I just thought his performance was spectacular.

"And it was his first time out. I thought, 'Wow'. It took me 30 movies to be confident enough to pull that off."

Wahlberg's new movie, the political crime thriller Broken City, is released on March 1.
