It has been announced that the release of the updated version of Carrie starring Chloe Moretz has been pushed back with a Halloween release now planned.

The horror movie is now set to hit cinemas 37 years after the Brian De Palma classic which starred Sissy Spacek in the title role.

The Hollywood Reporter says the change in the release date is timed to take advantage of Halloween. Moretz will next be seen in cinemas in the sequel to Kick-Ass which is set to be released this summer.
