The big day may be over but the hot festive telly continues with a great line-up in store today.
Entertainment: Nighthawks Rehashed, 10.10pm, RTÉ Two
Take a step back in time as Shay Healy brings us on a tour through the glory days of Nighthawks, his then ground-breaking Network 2 show blending a mix of music, chat, comedy and plenty of surprises. In the hour-long, one-off special, Healy, along with former co-presenter Joanne McAteer, chooses some of the best performances and interviews from the show’s extremely impressive four-series and 289 episodes. Speaking to the RTÉ Guide about the show, Healy said: “Nighthawks was four of the happiest years of my life, working with a bunch of crazy people.” Ahh.

Life Style: Room to Improve Christmas Special, 9.35pm, RTÉ One
Tonight Dermot Bannon shows the true spirit of Christmas by lending his time and talent to the National Children’s Hospital in Tallaght. On the special festive edition of the property transformation series, the architect does his good deed for the year by salvaging a broken, rundown balcony area on the hospital’s first floor. The space will be Cinderella’d from unused eyesore into a lovely outdoor garden and recreation space for children and their families. Dermot has €60,000 to do a job that has been priced at €250,000...let the magic begin!
Comedy: Immatürity for Charity, 9.30pm, RTÉ Two
Is there anything more Christmassy than a group of well-known Irish actors coming together, free of charge, to embarrass themselves to raise money for charity? That’s exactly what happened when a host of Ireland’s top thespians including Domhnall Gleeson, Brendan Gleeson, Amy Huberman, Robbie Sheehan, Hugh O’Conor, Brian Gleeson and David Wilmot gathered for Immatürity for Charity. This sketch-show comedy special is raising money, and smiles, for St Francis’ Hospice in Raheny. Giggles galore in store.
Entertainment: OMG! Jedward's Dream Factory, 6.05pm, RTÉ Two
Like them or loathe them (is that possible?) Jedward go out of their way to make children's dreams come true and provide the rest of us with some very sweet, fun and hyper entertainment in the mean time.
Entertainment: Johnny McEvoy, 9pm, TG4
If Jedward isn't your thing perhaps you'll be tickled pink to hear that there is not one but two Johnny McEvoy programmes on TG4 tonight. The first at 9pm, Johnny McEvoy: Bard focuses on the Banagher native talking about his fascination with Irish history. In the second show, at 9.30pm, the singer and guitarist takes to the stage in Belfast's Waterfront to entertain thousands of his fans.
