Music mogul Simon Cowell has slammed the Grammy Awards bosses for not awarding Justin Bieber with a nomination for the coveted music prize.
Simon Cowell has accused the Grammy Awards bosses of being snobby when it came to the nominations for the prestigious music prize, which will be handed out on February 10.
The Baby hitmaker, who previously scored two nods at the 2011 ceremony, was omitted from the 2013 nominations list when it was announced on Wednesday night (Dec 5), with fun., Frank Ocean and The Black Keys leading the pack.
Speaking to TMZ Cowell said: "You know what? He deserved (a nomination), I think. But they can get a bit snobby sometimes."
However, The X Factor head honcho is sure that the young popstar won’t be too upset at being left out. He said: "He won't be crying too much. He's doing fine."
Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, was furious at the news and blasted the organisers in a series of angry tweets.
He said: "Grammy board u (sic) blew it on this one. The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. The kid delivered. Huge successful album, sold out tour, and won people over... this time he deserved to be recognised."
