Beyoncé has revealed that she is "scared" about her directorial debut in a trailer for the unnamed, intimate documentary due to be released next February.
The HBO film will feature everything we are used to seeing from the Single Ladies hitmaker as well as taking a look behind the glitz and glamour at a makeup free Beyoncé confessing her feelings into her computer at home.
The 31-year-old superstar reveals in the newly-released trailer that the documentary has been a struggle to put together.
She said: "I always battle with, 'How much do I reveal about myself? If I'm scared, be scared, allow it. Release it."
The documentary will include home movies, her reflections on her family’s role in her career including when she decided to fire her father Matthew Knowles as her manager, and the struggles she went through to build her own company, Parkwood Entertainment.
Beyoncé also promises to show what she went through after the birth of her and husband’s, rap mogul Jay Z, first child, and how she then returned to the spotlight.
Speaking about the film, Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming said: "Everybody knows Beyoncé's music, but few know Beyoncé the person.
"Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman."
