The Stones Roses are set to headline next year's Isle of Wight Festival following their reunion in the summer.
The band, who reformed this year for a series of shows after splitting a decade and a half before, will top the bill on Friday June 14.
Organisers say that this will be their only UK festival appearance of 2013.
Festival promoter John Giddings said: “When you talk about the soundtrack of our lives, the Stone Roses are embedded in it.
“I am so proud to get them to our island – they will kick the weekend off with a bang.”
The Stone Roses, which is fronted by Ian Brown, will be making their Isle of Wight debut, with further headline acts expected to be revealed later this week.
