Pop star Rihanna has said sorry to the journalists who have travelled with her on her 777 tour which sees her perform seven gigs in seven countries in just a week.

Complaints began to emerge on Twitter and elsewhere from some of the more than 200 journalists from around the world who were travelling with her on her Boeing 777 with things coming to a head on day five of the adventure.

Some mid-flight footage emerged with the group chanting “just one quote” while an Australian journalists streaked naked down the plane’s cabin.

Chief amongst their complaints was the absence of the We Found Love singer. But they were also angered by the bad food, late night flights and the lack of sleep.

Now the chart-topper has acknowledged that the weary travellers did not get what they came for saying "I know you guys barely got any dirt."

Speaking yesterday just prior to the plane landing and explaining her absence Rihanna said "But I had to be good. I still sound like sh**. It's impossible to spend time with everybody, and I'm sorry I didn't. Usually I will be partying back here [in coach]... But I had to pay attention and take care of my health since I was on the plane all the time."

The singer’s 777 tour, in support of her forthcoming album titled Unapologetic, ends tonight in New York.
