Acting legend Robert De Niro has said he is not planning on retiring any time soon. The actor was speaking at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar which he co-owns with the Doha Film Institute.

Digitalspy reports he was answering questions about his biggest film roles and offering advice to young film-makers when he was asked if had retirement plans.

De Niro said "I don't see myself stopping really at this point."

Speaking about working on independent and studio films he said "Independent filmmaking is just as hard as making studio films. You'll always have people breathing down your neck as it's always expensive to make a film. You have to deal with the stakeholders and it's a process. The higher the budget, the higher the pressure. But it is what it is."

The actor will next be seen on screen in Luc Beson’s mafia film Malavita.
