Mila Kunis will executive produce a forthcoming show for the CW, it has been revealed.

The Ted star will produce Meridian Hills with Chris Keyser and Sydney Sidner, who is also writing the script.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is about a young midwestern housewife in 1972 who joins the Junior League and becomes heavily involved in the women's liberation movement.

Kunis will reportedly not feature on screen in the show, which will mark her first foray into television production.

There are several other CW programmes currently in development, including Reese Witherspoon's modern take on Great Expectations, a Wonder Woman origins series and a reboot of Alice in Wonderland.
