Strictly Come Dancing contestant Colin Salmon has said he would love to incorporate his musical talent into one of his dance performances on the show this year.
The actor is a talented trumpet player and would be keen to try out a solo.
Speaking to Daybreak about taking part in the popular BBC One show Salmon said "I'm a big fan of variety, I grew up with the London Palladium, I play the trumpet. I've done one element, with the acting, so [Strictly] was an opportunity [to try another]."
Asked if he would be keen to play the trumpet on the show he said: "I was going to hold it off until December, but I might [be eliminated by then]."
50-year-old Salmon has been paired with Kristina Rihanoff on the show and the pair gave a very solid performance on Saturday scoring 23 points and finding themselves in sixth position out of fourteen couples after the cha cha cha.
Of their opening performance he said "One of the most important things is that my boys could go to school again on Monday morning with their heads up, but it went quite well."
