Movies filmed in Dublin and Belfast and which were supported by the Irish Film Board were among the winners at the Dinard British Film Festival in France.

James Marsh's Northern Ireland-set political thriller Shadow Dancer, which was filmed in Dublin and features a large Irish cast alongside stars Andrea Riseborough and Clive Owen, won the Golden Hitchcock Award and the Prix Public, which is chosen by the festival audience.

The Northern Ireland punk movie Good Vibrations, which was written by Glenn Patterson and Colin Carberry, directed by Lisa Barros D'Sa and Glenn Leyburn and filmed in Belfast, won the Allianz Award for Best Screenplay.

The Heartbeat Award (Prix Coup de Coeur) went to Ben Drew's (Plan B) iLL Manors, and the film also won the Technicolor Award for Best Cinematography.
