Muse's new album, The 2nd Law, is released this Friday, September 28, and you can listen to the album in full on RTÉ TEN.

Described as an album "titled after and thematically influenced by the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which concerns the inevitable wasting of energy within a closed system", The 2nd Law is the band's sixth studio album and the first to feature songs written by and sung by bass player Chris Wolstenholme.

Commenting on the recording of the album, singer-guitarist Matt Bellamy said: "This was a breeze! We were making ourselves laugh at times with how different things were sounding."

Wolstenholme added: "We all had a lot of great fun doing it, and hopefully you can hear that on the album. There are some real moments of positivity in the songs. And I just think everyone personally is in a pretty good place at the moment."

Drummer Dom Howard said that the album "feels like the best thing we've ever done".
