Fringe creators JJ Abrams and JH Wyman have sold a new pilot to Fox.
According to Deadline the duo's new show has been given a pilot production commitment by the US network.
Abrams and Wyman's latest project is said to be a futuristic take on the "buddy cop" format, where human police officers in the LAPD are each paired up with android partners.
Wyman will write the series, and is an executive producer with Abrams and Bad Robot's Bryan Burk. Fringe's Kathy Lingg has also been named as co-executive producer.
