Katie Holmes has pulled out of her first public appearance since her split from Tom Cruise.
The actress was due to appear on the red carpet in Los Angeles yesterday evening (July 28) for an event by Dizzy Feet Foundation, an organisation set up to celebrate young dance talent.
Holmes was due to host the evening, but her representatives confirmed that she pulled out of the appearance at the last minute.
Dizzy Feet was founded by Homes in 2009 along with choreographer Carrie Ann Inaba and So You Think You Can Dance judges Adam Shankman and Nigel Lythgoe in order to raise money to improve dance education in America.
Holmes filed for divorce from husband of five years Tom Cruise earlier this month. Their 6-year-old daughter Suri will live with her mother, but Cruise will reportedly have generous visition rights.
