Kristen Wiig, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson have been signed up to star in a new movie called Freezing People Is Easy.

Set in 1960s' Los Angeles, it tells the true story of television repairman Bob Nelson (played by Rudd), who doubles as a pioneer in the field of cryogenics by freezing humans.

According to Deadline the film is inspired by the Robert F Nelson memoir We Froze The First Man and an episode of the US radio programme This American Life.

Directed by Errol Morris and written by Zach Helm, Freezing People Is Easy is expected to start shooting in mid-2012. The legendary Christopher Walken is also a member of the cast.

Wiig recently revealed that she is not going to work on a proposed sequel to the hugely successful Bridesmaids despite Universal's plan to move forward with the project.

But the former Saturday Night Live regular has stated that she will be "working on something else" with Bridesmaids co-writer Annie Mumolo.
