Irish panto queen Adele King, also known as Twink, last night cooked her way to victory on TV3's Celebrity Head Chef.

Despite some tough competition from other amateur chefs, such as Michael Hayes and Crystal Swing’s Mary Burke, and plenty of fireworks between the contestants, Adele came up trumps to claim the €10,000 charity prize in what she called “the most exhilarating experience of her life”.

The victorious chef, who was a favourite of mentor Conrad Gallagher throughout the week, will be donating her prize money to a number of worthy causes, including Temple Street Children’s Hospital (www.templestreet.ie), Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin (www.olhsc.ie), Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary (www.dogsaid.ie), Dublin SPCA (www.dspca.ie) and the Mater Hospital (www.materfoundation.ie).
