Kristen Bell has revealed that she threatened to "sock" 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' co-star Russell Brand if he tried to make a move on her.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the actress talked about working with Brand on the 2008 film before he met his wife, Katy Perry: "When I met him to do a screen test, he walked in and I thought:
'Are you kidding me? His trousers are tighter than mine!' But he just blew us all away.
She also said that she was aware of his reputation as a womaniser and quickly warned him not to get any ideas, although she conceded that the actor was "a really sweet boy... underneath".
She added: "I made it really clear from the beginning that I would sock him…if he tried anything. So he was intimidated, truth be told."
"Actually, I loved working with Russell. I may be the only woman in the world who would shout that from the rooftops, but I did."
However, the actress admitted that she would not be so kind if it had been her grandfather on the receiving end of his infamous phone calls to Andrew Sachs.
She said: "I would have hibernated and then gone and beaten Russell up. Sometimes he goes too far and when you push the limit, there are consequences.
"Do I wish I could rip out the duct tape and just cover Russell's mouth with it? Of course I do."
