Following The All Ireland Talent Show auditions last weekend in Dublin, the next stage of the auditions are heading North tomorrow.

Speaking to RTÉ.ie the show's presenter, Gráinne Seoige said: "There was a massive turn out last weekend at the Dublin auditions – around 1,500 people turned up to wow us with their talents.

"From that group 49 acts have made it through to the second round of auditions and they’ll now have the chance to strut their stuff in front of Shane Lynch."

"There was a good mix of age groups at the Dublin auditions and a lot more musicians and traditional bands turned up than last year."

The second round of auditions takes place in the North tomorrow Saturday 5 September: "We’re encouraging everyone in Antrim, Armagh, Cavan, Derry, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, Monaghan and Tyrone to come along to the Everglades Hotel on Prehen Road in Derry to show the All Ireland Talent Show team exactly what they’re made of.

"Any act, any age, any size! If you can get a smile out of people or make them stop in their tracks to look or listen then we want to see you!

The presenter had plenty of advice for auditionees: "Get there as early as you can – auditions start at 7am so set your alarm clock.

"If you’re under 18 bring a parent or guardian with you so that they can encourage you while you wait and give you a bit of star treatment! Don’t forget to wear comfy clothes and bring a brolly."
