Jim Carrey explains why he took on seven roles in Robert Zemeckis' 'A Christmas Carol'.
According to movieweb.com the motion capture film will feature Carrey as a young and old Ebenezer Scrooge as well as all of the past and present ghosts.
When asked why he decided to play so many roles in the film, Carrey said: “Because it is amazing. We get to do everything the original book did. And that makes it exciting, and on the edge.”
He then joked about his film fees: “I will get paid for each of them eventually. I’m a great investment!”
When asked what drew him to the project, 'Beowulf' director Zemeckis said: “This is one of the greatest stories ever told. As you know, I am a big fan of time travel [He wrote the 'Back to the Future' trilogy]. And this is one of the greatest time travel tales ever written.
'A Christmas Carol' has never been shown on film the way it was intended. This is the perfect story for this new motion capture technology.”
The film is due to be released in Irish cinemas on 13 November.
