American actor Christian Slater will present the top comedy prize at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
This is a second time at the festival for Slater, who brought 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' to the Fringe in 2004.
He will announce the if.comedy awards - formerly known as the Perrier awards - on 25 August.
"Having made my UK stage debut at the Fringe, I am delighted to be returning to Edinburgh," said Slater.
Over 350 comedy shows are in competition, with the winner taking £8,000 cash and a headline slot in London's West End.
The prize is now in its 27th year and previous winners have included Irish comedians Sean Hughes, Dylan Moran and Tommy Tiernan.
Last year's award was won by Scottish-born stand-up Phil Nichol.
Slater will return to London's West End stage in October to take a role in a stage adaptation of the film 'Swimming With Sharks'.
