'Grindhouse', the eagerly-awaited double-bill from directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, will be released in Irish cinemas on 1 June.
The two-film structure of 'Grindhouse' pays homage to the double bills of low budget action and horror movies which were shown in run-down 'Grindhouse' cinemas in the US in the 1970s.
Tarantino's film is a slasher movie called 'Death Proof' while Rodriguez's film is the zombie-themed 'Planet Terror'.
The two films will be separated in cinemas by fake trailers made by Edgar Wright ('Hot Fuzz'), Eli Roth ('Hostel') and Rob Zombie ('The Devil's Rejects').
The cast of 'Grindhouse' includes Kurt Russell, Rosario Dawson, Rose McGowan and singer Stacy 'Fergie' Ferguson.
