The 18th Cork French Film Festival is due to run from 1 to 9 March this year, with the programme being curated by Cork born filmmaker Paul Callanan.

This year's festival, which runs at the Gate Cinema and Triskel Arts Centre, includes 35mm feature films, a full documentary programme, a series of African feature films, short films, live audio-visual events, filmmaking workshops, conferences and a host of special guests.

Film producer Claudie Ossard will be present to officially open the festival with the screening of her latest film 'Paris je t’Aime'.

Also, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Alliance Française in Cork, there will be a special  screening of Jean Cocteau's 'La Belle et La Bête' ('Beauty and the Beast').
