Irish acts Director and The Marshals, together with The Blizzards and The Flaws, have embarked on a tour of Ireland, playing their first date last night in Belfast.

Tomorrow, Saturday 1 July, they play the Spirit Store in Dundalk, with further dates in Galway, Limerick and Cork before their last show, on Thursday 6 July, in Dublin's Whelans.

Director, The Marshals and The Blizzards will all feature at this year's Oxegen festival.

Director, a young four-piece from Malahide in Dublin, are signed to
Atlantic Records in London and their single, 'Reconnect', spent two weeks in the Irish top 10.

The Blizzards are currently recording their debut album with top producer, Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers) which is due for release later this year.

The Marshals' debut single, 'Make Her Cry', entered the top 10 in Ireland this year they have just put the finishing touches to their first album with producer John Cornfield (Muse, Oasis).

The Flaws, who are also working on their debut album, arrived on the Irish scene this year with the release of their limited edition debut single 'No Room' in March,  followed by a string of dates across Ireland.
